February 24, 2024. Our first event of the year was a Drive-and-Dine to Granzella's Restaurant in Williams. Naturally, we took the scenic route and along the way, we stopped at the Cache Creek Casino for a restroom break. During the drive we had to share the road with bicyclists, and we had to dodge a large obstacle in our lane. Overall, it was a fantastic drive in early spring-like, sunny conditions. Thank you, Gary and Joan, for hosting this event!
Gary briefing the route we were about to drive to Granzella's Restaurant.
March 24, 2024. Our second event of the year was a Drive-and-Dine to the Blackhawk Museum in Danville. We rendezvoused with our host, Keith, at the Sun Valley Mall in Concord, and again, we enjoyed early spring-like conditions. We experienced a very informative tour by our docent at the Museum. Additionally, an article was written about our visit in the Cars-And-Coffee section in the local Blackhawk Magazine. Also, our lunch at Fat Maddie’s was delicious. Thank you, Keith, for hosting this event!
April 20, 2024. Our third event of the year was a Drive-and-Dine to the Yocha Dehe Golf Club, in Brooks. Yocha Dehe, means "home of the spring water" in the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation's native language. During the drive, the weather was beautiful, but we did have to share the road with many bicycle groups. Our lunch at the club was delightful. Thank you, Ken and Sandy, for hosting this event!
May 19, 2024. Our fourth event of the year was the Wings-N-Wheels Car Show at Travis Air Force Base. The weather was fantastic, and the combination of cars and airplanes on display was incredible. This event is definitely worth repeating.
Our fifth event of the year was participating in the annual Vacaville Fiesta Days Parade. The weather was beautiful, and we won an Auto Clubs 2nd Place Award.
